general synoptic situation:

A low 995 northwestern Russia remains almost stationary. 

A trough reaching the Gulf of Riga swings southeastwards 

over the Baltic States, weakening. A high 1028 German 

Bight moves slowly towards the Czech Republic until 

Saturday morning. A ridge reaches the Norwegian Sea and 

weakens, from Friday a new ridge reaches the Faroe Islands 

and swings eastwards. Between the ridges, a low 1011 

Iceland will move towards the Gulf of Bothnia, temporarily 

deepening.
