general synoptic situation:

A low 993 near the Kola Peninsula hardly changes. A 

secondary low 1007 over southern Sweden moves towards 

Latvia while deepening. A high 1024 south of Iceland moves 

towards the British Isles while weakening. A ridge swings 

from the western Baltic Sea to Austria. A high 1010 over 

Lithuania moves towards the Moscow area. Over night a new 

secondary low 1006 will develop in Skagerrak and move to 

the central Baltic Sea while deepening.
