general synoptic situation:

A low 991 Barents Sea moves towards southern Finland 

while weakening. A secondary low 1004 Latvia moves 

eastward. Another secondary low 1003 Gotland also moves 

eastwards. A third secondary low 1007 Skagerrak moves 

towards Poland. On Sunday morning, a new secondary low 

1012 forms over southern Norway. A high 1022 Ireland 

shifts to the southwestern North Sea. A ridge extends to 

the Norwegian Sea, another ridge extends from the Alpine 

region to southeastern Europe.
