general synoptic situation:

A deep low 992 over Lithuania moves eastwards while weakening. A 

low 994 will form over Estonia, moving towards Lithuania while 

weakening. A trough extending to the Skagerrak weakens. A high 

1022 west of the Bay of Biscay moves towards Ireland while 

weakening. A ridge extending towards the Alps intensifies. 

Another ridge extending towards the Shetland Islands intensifies 

as well and shifts towards the Lofoten Islands. A zone of high 

pressure reaching from this ridge to a high over northwestern 

Russia will form until Friday morning.
