general synoptic situation:	

A gale 979 over Haltenbank will fill up by Thursday night. A 

secondary low 975 over central Sweden moves towards the Barents 

Sea while weakening, a trough swings from Denmark to the Gulf of 

Riga. A high 1034 in the sea area between the Azores and Ireland 

weakens, a ridge swings from Scotland to the North Sea by Friday 

morning. A storm 967 reaches the Irminger Sea on Thursday evening

and will move towards Iceland while weakening. Its frontal system

will swing from Scotland to the northern North Sea overnight from

Thursday into Friday.
